What exactly is a healthy lifestyle? Is it being able to run a mile in less than six minutes? Is it eating your daily does of green vegetables? Is it feeling good about yourself? For me, the answer is a combination of all of the above. A healthy lifestyle centers on total wellness. That’s a combination of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. They all function together. No component operates in a vacuum. That’s why it’s so important to take account of each when you are embarking on a healthy lifestyle journey. And that last work is key. It is a journey. There’s no magic light switch. It takes time to figure out the journey for yourself. But once you do, you truly begin the trek toward total wellness. With the proper amount of effort and dedication, it’s something we all can achieve.
