Leading a fit lifestyle doesn’t just happen. It’s a deliberate choice you have to make. This is true when it comes to both your exercise program and your diet. You don’t just wake up one day and become fit. It takes work. It takes effort. It takes time. And in order for all of that to come together, your fitness has to become a part of your life.
So how does it happen? Well, most of the time it doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes trial and error. It takes finding the best schedule for you when it comes to working out. Do you prefer to exercise early in the morning, midday, or later in the evening? What type of commitments do you have that impact your ability to workout at different times during the day? These are things you have to consider before diving headfirst into your program. Why? Because how exactly are you going to exercise at 8:30 a.m. if you have to be at work by 9 a.m.? It just won’t work. If you take into consideration other musts in your life, then find the appropriate time and place for your workouts, you’ll be more likely to stick to it.
Don’t beat yourself up if you miss a workout here and there in the beginning. It happens to everyone. But, once you get into the groove, keep the consistency up. For instance, if you’re going to do your Boldly Fit workouts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, don’t start a new book club group at 7:30 p.m. every other Tuesday. Doesn’t make sense, right?
