I’ve hit the four week postpartum mark, which is how long I gave myself to be “off of a plan.” By that, I mean I’m just eating intuitively and not tracking anything. I’m probably carb heavy and low on protein. I think I’m pretty close when it comes to calories. I’m not exercising yet (still waiting for clearance). My weight is hovering between 121 and 119, which is about five pounds above my normal pre-pregnancy weight. I’m pretty established with my breastfeeding routine, so I think this is where my weight will stay without exercise as long as my diet doesn’t dip into a calorie deficit.
Now back to diet. I have physique goals that must be supported by good nutrition. I love variety, flavors and cooking, so I’m not going on a strict plan. I am, however, going to track what I eat so that I can ensure I’m getting what I need.
